12 ILLEGAL MINERS DETAINED IN OGUN STATE BY SO-SAFE CORPS

Agents of the So-Safe Corps, a security organization owned by Ogun State, have detained 12 illegal miners. According to the reports, the 12 suspects were apprehended between September 28 and September 30 while stealing the State government resources.

The illegal miners were detained at Abeku Adekanmbi Village in the Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun. Moruf Yusuf, spokesman for So-Safe Corps revealed that the 12 were captured while stealing mineral resources from beneath the ground, like coal and gold.

He claimed that the So-Safe Commander, Soji Gonzalo, had immediately ordered that the preliminary reports of the suspects’ investigation be sent to the Corps State headquarters in Abeokuta. Gonzalo had also instructed that other conspirators who had escaped on motorcycles be brought to book.

The suspects have been transferred to the Ijebu Igbo Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
