1611 Entertainment Launches ‘Goal for Mental Health’ Community Sports Event in Sagamu

1611 Entertainment company successfully held the maiden edition of the “Goal for Mental Health” community sports event on Saturday , July 20th 2024, at the Gateway Stadium in Sagamu, Ogun State. The event, aimed at promoting mental health awareness and community inclusiveness, brought together students and professionals for a day of exercise, health talks, relay competitions, and football matches.

According to Oluwaferanmi Oduyemi, Creative Director of 1611 Entertainment, the event was designed to strike a balance between work and health life, while also combating the stigma surrounding mental health. The event’s success, with participants coming from Lagos, Abeokuta, and Sagamu, has paved the way for a yearly event, with monthly fitness exercises to follow.

Oduyemi expressed his enthusiasm for the turn-out, stating, “The response was highly encouraging, and it’s a pointer that we are doing the right thing.” He also acknowledged the support of brands that shared the vision, ensuring the event’s success.

“This event is also to bring about community inclusiveness in Sagamu, and that’s why most of our brand supporters came on board to see the vision through.

“Next edition will be better and bigger” the creative director said.
