190 Nigerians Return Home from UAE as Government Facilitates Repatriation

The Nigerian government has brought home 190 of its citizens from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The group arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 5:45 am on Tuesday, where they were received by a team of government officials led by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

Bashir Idris Garga, NEMA Director for the North Central zone, explained that the returnees were carefully profiled and documented by relevant agencies upon arrival. They were also sensitized on the importance of maintaining decorum and responsibility as they reintegrate into Nigerian society.

In a statement, Garga emphasized, “The federal government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country, upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity.”
