REMO-LAND CONGRATULATES PARAMOUNT RULER, OTHERS, AS THEY BAG NATIONAL AWARDS
Remonians at home and in diaspora have sent congratulatory messages to the Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remo land, HRM Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, BL,LLM, FCA, FBR, on the conferment on him of the National Honor’s Award as Commander Of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) on October 11th 2022, by the President and the Commander-in-chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The event which took place at the International Conference Center, Abuja, had in attendance, Senate President Ahmed Laman, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief Justice of Nigeria Olukayode Ariwoola, the President’s Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police several ministers including the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, George Akume.
Others are Traditional Rulers including the Emir of Lafia, Sidi Mohammad, who is the Chairman of the National Honours Awards Committee Secretary of the 2022 National Honours Awards Investiture and members of the diplomatic corps.
Other awardees from Remo- land include, former boxing champion Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua, who was conferred the National honors Award of Officer of the Federal Republic(OFR).
The National honor’s award of the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) was also conferred on Barrister Adebayo Ogunlesi while, Sir Kensington Adebukuola Adebutu, OON, CON,KJW, CFR “Odole-Oodua of the source” had his National honor upgraded to the Commander OF THE Federal Republic (CFR).
Congratulating the awardees, Remo growth and development Foundation described them as true and capable sons of the soil who have made Remo-land proud, and presented the land in a positive light, stating that the award was well deserved as each recipient had contributed in no small measure to the nation’s development.
The Akarigbo while speaking to newsmen renewed his resolve to continually contribute his quota to nation building, he, however, enjoined fellow Nigerians to brace up to the challenge of restricting the country as the mission to “make Nigeria great” was not a one man’s affair, it required a collective effort.
