Relief as NGO provides portable water to Ogun community, calls on government to do same
Stimulated by the love for a better society for the less-privileged, a non-governmental organisation, The Grassroots Aid Initiative (TGAI), has called on corporate bodies and private individuals to join hands with the foundation to provide potable water to Nigerians.
The Founder, Kehinde Kadiri, speaking during the commissioning of a borehole in Aaba village, Ewekoro Local Council in Ogun State, said it was 19th borehole water project the group had commissioned since it started operation, five years ago.
She said the foundation was birthed to mainly provide clean water to rural communities.
“We have not just started. We normally look out for communities that are experiencing safe water poverty. From there, we take pictures and send to our donors, as evidence. This is our means of sourcing for funds to execute the project.”
Head of the Aaba community, Chief Nureni Disu, while expressing appreciation to the founder, said the donation would alleviate the water poverty the community has suffered for years.
