Meet Our Woman Crush Wednesday; Miss Tobi Amusan

Born Oluwatobiloba Ayomide Amusan on 23 April 1997 to Mr & Mrs Amusan who are school teachers in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Tobi is is a Nigerian track and field athlete and current World, Commonwealth and African champion in the 100 m hurdles.

Tobi had her Secondary School Education at Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School, Ijebu Ode. She started her athlete career from a yound age and as since then as being an accomplished athlete.
During her years o the track field, Tobi has accomplished a lot, claiming bronze, silver and gold medals in competition. She has claimed over 15 medals from 2013 to 2022. Of recent, Tobi have been breaking records both on continental level and international level.

Tobi became the first ever Nigerian world champion and world record holder in an athletics event when she won the 2022 World Championships 100 m hurdles gold medal, setting the current world record of 12.12 seconds in the semi-final, followed up by a wind-assisted 12.06 s in the final. One could say 2022 was Tobi’s year of world record as she broke more than three world records in the second half of the year.
