2023 Elections: APC Clears Senatorial Seats In Ogun, Oyo state

All Progressives Congress (APC), in Oyo State, has cleared the three senatorial and eight House of Representatives seats in the state.

 

Declaring the results of the National Assembly elections, at the Mutiu Agboke Collation Centre, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office, Ibadan, the Chief Collation Officer,

 

Prof. Olusola Kehinde, Chief Collation Officer, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office Ibadan, stated that the total registered voters were 3,237,310, accredited voters 854,449 and total votes cast 851,956.

 

Yinus Akintunde of APC was declared senator-elect for Oyo Central, to succeed Teslim Folarin, who is the party’s gubernatorial flagbearer for the March 11 contest.

 

Also Sharafadeen Alli was declared senator-elect for Oyo South. He defeated Joseph Tegbe of PDP, while Fatai Buhari was declared senator-elect for Oyo North.

 

The All Progressive Congress won eight House of Representatives seats out of the 14 in the state.

 

APC also won all the three senatorial districts and nine House of Representatives seats in Ogun State.
