Ogun Traders, NATA Declare Support For Dapo Abiodun Re-election Bid

As part of his plans to meet with every group in the state before the next gubernatorial election, prince Dapo Abiodun on Wednesday met with traders in Ogun state, where he assured them of his Administration’s commitment to ensure calm and peace in the state.

He reiterated the desire of his administration to see individuals and groups make progress and prosper.

 

To that end, he empowered 4,000 traders with the sum of N20,000 each to support their businesses. The 4,000 market men and women are made up of 1,000 from each of the four sections of the state: Egba, Ijebu, Remo, and Yewa-Awori.

“ We recalled the massive support our administration received from the traders by complying with the COVID-19 protocol and ensuring that they took recommended vaccines to curtail the spread of the virus and also appreciated the market men and women for their support and solidarity, whilst assuring that the State would experience more development during our second term.

 

“We thanked the traders for their continuous support and work for the second term of the governor, as they are desirous of good governance and continuity” prince Dapo added.

 

The event was immediately followed by another meeting with members of the Nigerian Automobile Technician and Association (NATA) in Abeokuta, where the governor announced the approval of a N50m revolving loan that will enable them access loans for trading.

 

” This is an arrangement that was made with the chairman of the association after acknowledging the contributions of members of the association to the socio-economic development of the society.

 

“ We also assured them that our administration would power their village with solar enabled lights, as well as providing a bus and also reconstructing the failed part of their perimeter fencing.

 

“ We thanked them for supporting the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with their votes during the last Presidential and National Assembly elections, urging them to go all out and educate their family members on the need to come out in en-masse and vote for us in a bid to ensure the continued prosperity of our dear state” the governor concluded.
