Aiyepe, Sagamu Residents Lament State Of Roads, Call For Intervention

Residents of Bashorun Adebisi Adesanya also known as Aiyepe road in the Sagamu LG have expressed concern over the dilapidated condition of roads in the community.

They complained that some roads, especially at Aiyepe linking Batoro, left unattended for a while now have worsened as a result of the rain, and can get worse than present. They also appealed to the council chairman,Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, to consider repairing the roads.

“The roads leading to our homes and shops are not passable by cars or tricycles, we have to trek some distance to come to our homes, and most vehicles that try to pass through this route end up breaking down.

“We have to avoid the route because we can’t risk damaging our means of livelihood. We ply the route during the dry season because we can easily manoeuvre, but the rain has worsened the situation, and if the government doesn’t do anything to help, it will definitely get worse.

“We have complained severally to our representatives, but we are yet to get any response from them. The government needs to fix the roads soon”. A shop owner said.
