Governor Ademola Adeleke yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Dr Hamid Bobboyi, in Abuja. The governor commended the commission’s contributions to education development in Nigeria and solicited their support and cooperation for the development of basic education in Osun State.
He also assured the commission that his administration would ramp up its fulfilment of conditionalities for assessing further grants from the commission.
The governor’s visit to the commission is a positive step towards improving the education sector in Osun State. Basic education is fundamental to the development of any nation, and the governor’s assurance to ramp up the fulfilment of conditionalities for assessing further grants from the commission is a step in the right direction.
