Tinubu Approves New Appointments for NCPC and NAHCOM Boards

 

 

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of the following nine (9) qualified Nigerians to serve on the board of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC).

 

The President also approved the appointment of a new board and management team for the National Hajj Commission (NAHCOM), pending confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.

 

A statement signed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity on Wednesday listed the nine members of the NCPC Board as follows: Colonel Aloche Adole — Chairman; Dr. Stephen Adegbite — Secretary; Omowumi Olubunmi Ogunlola — Member, South West; Clement Alobu Nweke — Member, South East; Chief Prince Weli Wosu — Member, South South; Prof. Joseph Haruna Mamman — Member, North West; Dr. Toma Hamidu Ragnjiya — Member, North East; Dr. Simon Abu Samson Dolly — Member, North Central and Bishop Raphael Benjamin Nwankwo — Representative, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

 

The President charged the new appointees to consider their appointment as an opportunity to serve the nation and, as such, wholly commit themselves to this important purpose.

 

Ngelale also noted that the President, in his resolve to ensure hitch-free and seamless 2024 Hajj operations, appointed the following persons to the Board of NAHCOM: Jalal Arabi — Chairman (In Office); Aliu Abdulrazaq — Commissioner, Policy, Personnel, & Finance; Prince Anofi Elegushi — Commissioner, Operations; and Professor Abubakar A. Yagawal — Commissioner, Planning & Research.

 

The President mandated the appointees to dedicate themselves to the task of ensuring that operations of the National Hajj Commission are more efficient, transparent, and responsive to the needs of Nigerians.
