NBTE Unbundles HND Computer Science Program, Introduces Specialized Pathways for Tech Students

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has announced the unbundling of the Higher National Diploma (HND) Computer Science Program into four specialized fields.

Starting from the 2024/25 academic session, aspiring students will have the opportunity to choose from HND Artificial Intelligence, HND Network & Cloud Computing, HND Software & Web Development, and HND Cybersecurity & Data Protection. This decision aims to align technical education with the evolving needs of the industry and provide students with tailored pathways to excel in their chosen fields.

The introduction of these specialized programs reflects the NBTE’s commitment to enhancing the quality and relevance of technical education in Nigeria. By offering focused specializations, students can now delve deeper into their areas of interest and acquire specialized skills that align with the demands of the ever-evolving technology landscape.
