Imeji Land Celebrates as Three Individuals Receive Prestigious Chieftaincy Titles

In a traditional ceremony held in Imeji at Iperu Remo, the king, Alaiyeluwa Oba Babatunde Kayode Olayebo, Onimeji of Imeji, bestowed three distinguished individuals with prestigious chieftaincy titles.

 

The newly honored individuals include Otunba Kayode Awotesu, who was appointed as the Balogun of Imeji land, Otunba Suraj Alamu Afariogun, designated as the Otunba of Imeji land, and Chief Mrs. Ibironke Odofin, who received the esteemed title of Yeye Oba.

The atmosphere was filled with the enchanting sounds of local music, creating an ambiance of joy and celebration. The king himself led the prayers for the newly appointed chiefs, following the age-old traditions of Imeji.

Imeji Land rejoices in the recognition of these deserving individuals and looks forward to the positive impact they will undoubtedly make in their new roles.

The king, in his wise and inspiring words, charged the newly appointed chiefs to continue their outstanding contributions to the community of Imeji. He emphasized the importance of their roles in fostering unity, progress, and development within the land.
