Tragic Road Accident Claims Life and Injures Several in Fatal Crash along PMB Expressway, Ogun State

A fatal road accident occurred at PMB Estate along PMB Expressway outbound Abeokuta, Ogun State, leaving one person dead and multiple individuals injured. The incident, reported to authorities, involved a Mitsubishi Canter with the registration number AAB 172 XC.
According to the police report, the accident was attributed to excess speeding and the loss of control of the vehicle caused by rain when approaching a bend. Tragically, a presumed deceased person fell from the back of the Mitsubishi Canter during the collision.
The vehicle had a total of 10 occupants, comprising 7 male and 3 female adults. Among them, 1 male adult lost his life in the unfortunate accident. Nine individuals, 6 males and 3 females, sustained injuries in the crash.
The prompt response of emergency services was crucial in managing the aftermath of the incident. The 6 injured victims were swiftly rescued and transported by Day Waterman Ambulance to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Idi Aba, while the remaining 3 were taken to State Hospital Ijaiye. The presumed deceased person was deposited at the FMC mortuary.
Despite the initial disruption to traffic caused by the accident, normalcy has been restored. The Ogun State authorities, through the police, assure the public that investigations will be conducted to understand the circumstances leading to the tragic incident. The community mourns the loss of one life and hopes for the speedy recovery of those injured in this unfortunate road accident.
