Ogun State 58 year old Vigilante declared missing
A 58-year-old vigilante, Rafiu Lawal, has gone missing after a brutal attack by suspected hoodlums in Abule Erefun, Ogijo area of Ogun State. The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 5, when police officers from Zone 2 visited the area to inspect alleged vandalism by hoodlums.
According to eyewitnesses, the police were invited by community leaders to assess damage to their properties. However, during the inspection, the group was ambushed by around 100 hoodlums armed with dangerous weapons. Two people were injured in the attack, and unfortunately, Rafiu Lawal has been declared missing.
The leader of the vigilante group, Gadafi, recounted the events of that morning, saying, “We joined the police around 11:30 am, but were suddenly attacked by the hoodlums.” The search for Rafiu Lawal continues, and the community remains on edge following this violent incident.
