APC shuts secretariat over killing of kidnapped director

ABUJA: The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has temporarily closed its national secretariat, known as “Buhari House,” in response to the tragic death of its Director of Administration, Hon. AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji.

According to reports from Vanguard, Adeniji, who had been kidnapped several weeks prior, was allegedly murdered last month. His captors are said to have hidden the news of his death while still negotiating a ransom of N50 million.

In a memo titled “Secretariat Closure for the Mourning of the Director of Administration,” the APC instructed staff to take this time for reflection and to pray for Adeniji’s family and loved ones. The memo states: “The National Secretary has approved the closure of the National Secretariat from all party/work activities effective immediately until Monday, April 14, 2025.”

This decision was made following the announcement of the untimely passing of Hon. AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji.
