Sagamu LG Chairman Preaches Unity at Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary

The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has called on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of togetherness as the country marks its 65th Independence Anniversary.
In his goodwill message to the people of Sagamu, Ogun State, and Nigerians at large, Odulate described the nation’s 65 years of existence as a testament to the sacrifices of the country’s founding heroes who never gave up on the dream of nationhood.
“Sixty-five years is not just a number, but the story of our heroes who never gave up on their dream of nationhood. Their sacrifices laid the foundation for the peace and freedom we enjoy today and renew our hope for a greater Nigeria,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to see the country’s diversity as a source of strength rather than division, while stressing the need for citizens to work in unity, play their roles with sincerity, and instill in the younger generation the virtues of hard work, integrity, and patriotism.
On behalf of the Sagamu Local Government, Odulate congratulated all Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora, expressing hope that the labour of past heroes would never be in vain and that Nigeria would continue to flourish in peace, prosperity, and unity.
“Happy 65th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!” he declared.
