The qualification process for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has reached an exciting stage, with the six teams confirmed to participate in the intercontinental playoffs. These teams are Bolivia, DR Congo, Iraq, Jamaica, New Caledonia, and Suriname. They will compete in a mini-tournament scheduled for March 2026 in Mexico, with the winner securing the final spot in the World Cup.
As of Tuesday night, 42 countries had already secured automatic qualification for the tournament, which will be held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. However, six remaining spots are still up for grabs through the UEFA and inter-confederation playoffs, set to take place in March.
