In a remarkable show of unity and support, stakeholders from Ikenne, Sagamu, and Remo North Federal Constituency have unanimously expressed confidence in the leadership of Hon. (Dr.) Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji. Barely three months into her tenure at the House of Representatives, the lawmaker’s performance and community-centered approach have earned her glowing endorsements from traditional rulers, community leaders, and civil society representatives alike.
The endorsement was sealed during a vibrant Stakeholders’ Consultative Meeting held on Saturday at Nandas Hotel, Sagamu. Under the theme “Towards a United Remo: Legislative Agenda and Strategic Representation,” the gathering provided a platform for Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji to update her constituents on her legislative activities and future plans.
The event emphasized the importance of unity and strategic development, setting a hopeful tone for the future of the constituency.During the meeting, she highlighted her legislative accomplishments, including bills sponsored, motions moved, and ongoing engagements aimed at tackling local developmental issues. Her approach to representation is rooted in ongoing dialogue, transparency, and a focus on the people’s needs. The meeting was graced by prominent traditional rulers, including HRH Oba Sikiru Ajibowu Adeilo Adeyiga, Onirolu of Irolu Remo; HRH Oba Adesegun Bolaji Alowonle, Elemuren of Emuren; and HRH Oba Dr. Surv. Adetunji Amidu Osho, Alaye Ode of Ode Remo. Their presence underscored the significance of unity across different leadership levels in shaping the future of Remo.
Participants praised Hon. Ayoola Elegbeji’s openness and early performance, describing her leadership as responsive, progressive, and inclusive. At the close of the meeting, a formal communiqué was adopted, with a motion proposed by Mr. Onawole and seconded by Barr. Solarin. All stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence in Hon.
