It was a historic and joyous occasion for the Jayesimi family and the entire Eleyi Kingdom as His Royal Highness, Oba Olusola-Ayobola Okanlawon Jayesimi, officially ascended the throne as the Eleleyi of Eleyi Kingdom, becoming the first king from his lineage.
The coronation ceremony, held on Thursday, 12th February 2026, marked a significant milestone in the history of the kingdom. The event attracted family members, friends, dignitaries, traditional rulers, and well-wishers who gathered in large numbers to witness the royal installation and celebrate the emergence of a new monarch.
The coronation was formally conducted and ratified by the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi. In line with traditional rites and customs, the Akarigbo performed the necessary royal proceedings and ordained Oba Olusola-Ayobola Okanlawon Jayesimi as king, offering royal blessings and prayers for a successful reign.
With his ascension, he assumes the revered title: His Royal Highness, Oba Olusola-Ayobola Okanlawon Jayesimi, the Eleleyi of Eleyi Kingdom. His emergence as the first monarch in his lineage makes the event particularly historic, signifying the birth of a new royal heritage within the kingdom.
In accordance with tradition, a remarkable and symbolic highlight of the ceremony was the role played by his daughter, Princess Adeyemi Jayesimi, who served as the Awode to her father during his ascension to the throne.
