Semi Ajayi’s Coventry Availability in Focus After Hull City Injury Scare

Hull City defender Semi Ajayi remains under assessment ahead of the club’s Premier League trip to Coventry City after being withdrawn during the 2–0 victory over Manchester United.
Ajayi scored Hull City’s opening goal in their Premier League return against Manchester United on August 22, helping the newly promoted side secure a 2–0 victory at the MKM Stadium. He was substituted in the 64th minute after complaining of a hamstring issue.
Hull manager Sergej Jakirovic said after the match that he did not yet have a clear update on the extent of Ajayi’s problem following the medical assessment. Nobel Mendy, who scored Hull’s second goal, was also withdrawn after complaining of an adductor problem.
Hull are scheduled to face Coventry City away on Saturday, August 29. However, Ajayi’s availability for the fixture has not been officially confirmed, and there is currently insufficient evidence to state that he has been cleared of the hamstring issue or guaranteed a place in the matchday squad.
