Moses Simon Set for 100th Super Eagles Cap Against Madagascar
Super Eagles winger Moses Simon is set to make his 100th senior international appearance for Nigeria if he features in Friday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar in Uyo.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed that Simon has made 99 appearances for the Super Eagles since his international debut against Uganda on March 25, 2015. The federation has also concluded arrangements to honour the Paris FC forward if he reaches the milestone.
Simon, 31, has recorded 64 competitive appearances and 35 international friendly matches for Nigeria. According to the NFF, he has scored 12 goals during his international career, while Nigeria have won 49, drawn 30 and lost 20 of the 99 matches in which he has featured.
If he plays against Madagascar, Simon will become the fifth Nigerian male international to reach 100 senior caps, joining Ahmed Musa, Vincent Enyeama, Joseph Yobo and Alex Iwobi.
The milestone would mark more than a decade of international service for Simon, who first represented the Super Eagles in 2015.
