Ikenne LG Chairman Asimi Salutes Teachers on World Teachers’ Day, Reaffirms Support for Quality Education

The Chairman of Ikenne Local Government, *Hon. Jamiu Mohammed Asimi*, has celebrated teachers across Ikenne Local Government on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, describing them as the backbone of quality education and community progress.

 

In his message to mark the day, Hon. Asimi saluted teachers for their unwavering dedication to shaping young minds, building character and preparing the next generation for future responsibilities. He noted that their influence extends far beyond the classroom, helping to raise responsible citizens and leaders who contribute to the development of society.

 

The Chairman said Ikenne Local Government recognises teachers as essential partners in building a knowledgeable, productive and value-driven community.

 

“Our teachers are shaping the future of Ikenne every single day,” Hon. Asimi said. “Their daily sacrifice in guiding our children, nurturing their talents and instilling discipline and values cannot be overstated. We appreciate them deeply.”

 

Hon. Asimi reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote quality education and improve teaching and learning conditions across schools in Ikenne Local Government. He stressed that strong schools depend not only on students and families, but also on motivated teachers working in a conducive environment.
