Ogun state So Safe Corps Arrest Notorious Cultist Involved In Killings, Robbery

A notorious cultist who specialises in hijacking motorcycle and robbing traders in Ogun State has been arrested by operatives of the Ogun State So-Safe Corps.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

According to information made available by Yusuf Moruf, the spokesperson to the state-owned security outfit, the arrest of the middle aged suspect was effected on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

The suspect, 32-year-old Ojo Fagbenro, a resident of Iju-Aga, Abekoko in Iju-Ishaga according to the statement obtained by Remotv was arrested by its officers of Oke-Aro /Olambe Division on routine patrol at about 2000hrs.

He was arrested while trying to rob citizens selling phone accessories on the bridge at Abule Ekun, Giwa, along Ijoko Road in Ifo Local Government Area.

The statement revealed that the Commander of the security outfit, Soji Ganzallo had instructed the Divisional Officer, Akeem Olaiya to find a lasting solution to the robbery and killings in the axis.

The suspect during preliminary Investigation confessed to the crime and revealed that he is the number three on the heirachy of the deadly Eiye confraternity in the area.

“The suspect then revealed that he was a member of the deadly cult group that killed Gabriel Frank on Monday, 14th November, 2022 at Iju-Ishaga.

“The suspect and the exhibit – 1 locally made pistol, charms and small bag-found on him has been handed over to Ajuwon Police Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.”
