ABIODUN, AKARIGBO, COKER, FATUNGASE, SONAME, AND OTHERS PARTICIPATE IN COLORECTAL CANCER MEDICAL OUTREACH AND AWARENESS CAMPAIGN IN REMOLAND
Prominent figures, including Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, the wife of the Ogun State Governor, attended the Ijoya 6.0 colorectal cancer medical outreach and awareness campaign in Remoland. The significant event was held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Akarigbo’s Palace, Ita-Oba, Sagamu, Ogun State.
Princess Peju Shote, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Physical and Urban Planning, delivered remarks on behalf of the First Lady. She praised the organizers for their commitment to public health and highlighted the ongoing efforts to raise awareness about colorectal cancer in the community.
Dr. Tomi Coker, Ogun State’s Commissioner for Health, was represented by Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwabunmi Motunrayo Fatungase, Chief Medical Director of Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu. She commended Niola Cancer Care Foundation for their dedicated service to the community and recognized their vital role in medical outreach and combating colorectal cancer in Nigeria.
His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, conveyed his royal message through His Royal Highness, Oba Gabriel Babatunde Odunayo (Fesikilo II), the Aminisan of Oko Kingdom, Sagamu. Oba Ajayi acknowledged the importance of bringing the sixth colorectal cancer awareness campaign to Remoland and stressed the significance of early detection and prevention in the fight against the disease.
