Adepoju Open to Super Eagles Coaching Role
Former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju has expressed his interest in coaching the Nigerian national team, following the recent resignation of Finidi George.
In an interview on the Managing Madrid Podcast, Adepoju, who holds a UEFA Pro coaching license, revealed his willingness to step into the role if given the opportunity. “We had several players in the Castilla team who are brilliant coaches today, and we didn’t see it at the time,” he said. “I have a UEFA Pro license myself, so if there’s an opportunity, I wouldn’t mind.”
Adepoju, known for his tenure with Real Sociedad, emphasized his readiness to contribute to the Super Eagles’ success, leveraging his extensive experience both as a player and a coach.
