AFO Emerges Most Outstanding Local Government Chairman in Ogun State

Hon. Afolabi Odulate, popularly known as AFO, has been recognized as the most outstanding local government chairman in Ogun State. The award, organized by Amebo Newspaper NG, was presented to him on Thursday, July 25th, 2024, at his political office in Sagamu.
AFO emerged winner after garnering 457 votes in a three-day voting period, beating all other local government chairmen in Ogun State. The voting criteria included infrastructure development, social development, economic development, environmental sustainability, transparency and accountability, security, and community development.
Notably, Hon. Sikiru Adesina of Ewekoro LG came second with 318 votes, followed by Hon. Ladejobi Adebayo of Odogbolu LG with 82 votes, Hon. Odusanya Bolaji of Ijebu North with 73 votes, and Hon. Ogunsola Lanrewaju of Obafemi Owode with 40 votes, among many other LG chairmen.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Afolabi Odulate said: “This is a rare privilege given to me, and it only means more work for me, which I won’t stop doing like always. I’m promising that I will show and give to our people the dividend of democracy. I will do more to make our people proud. The work won’t stop… I will continue even better.”
AFO served as the executive chairman of Sagamu Local Government from July 2021 to July 25th, 2024.
