This prestigious position is a testament to Dr. Oduwole’s exceptional professionalism, competence, and expertise, honed through her academic pursuits at renowned Cambridge and Stanford Universities.
Dr. Oduwole assumed office on November 4, 2024, with a commitment to reposition the sector for the benefit of Nigeria and its citizens. As Minister, she aims to reverse Nigeria’s trade policies to create competitive jobs for the nation’s youth and attract foreign direct investment for sustainable growth.
Dr. Oduwole’s impressive background includes serving as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Industry, Trade, and Investment, and Special Adviser to the President on Ease of Doing Business.

Her accomplishments have earned her notable awards, including the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) honor in 2023.
