Akarigbo of Remoland Performs Groundbreaking Ceremony for Police Secondary School Hostel Block

The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II, CFR, and Chairman, Ogun State Council of Obas, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a hostel block at the Police Secondary School, Oke-Ibu, Batoro Sagamu, on Tuesday, May 28th.

 

The Akarigbo was warmly received with a guard of honor formed by the students. As he arrived, the students, dressed in their crisp uniforms, stood at attention, forming a ceremonial guard of honor to welcome the esteemed monarch. The Akarigbo was visibly impressed by the students’ discipline and precision, and he acknowledged their salute with a nod of appreciation.

Accompanied by other prominent kings in Remo, including Oba Moibi Gisanri, Odofin of Soyindo, the Radanuwa of Idado, Oba Musiliu Oriyomi Soile, the Ayanperuwa of Sotubo, Oba Muyideen Ogunsola Soile, Oloore william Olaseni Sofola, Otunba Koyelu ruling house, the Akarigbo led the foundation-laying and groundbreaking ceremony, praying for the successful completion of the project.

In his address, the Akarigbo emphasized the importance of providing comfortable accommodations for students, promising to ensure the timely completion of the hostel building. “The comfort of our students is my priority, and I will do everything necessary to get this project done as soon as possible,” he said.

The Commandant of the Police Secondary School, Batoro, Sagamu, SP Ishola Olaniyan, praised the Akarigbo’s visit as “historical” and commended his commitment to education in Remoland. “The Akarigbo’s interest in this school and his efforts to uplift education in Remoland are exemplary. This project will be completed soon, and we appreciate his support.”

 

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including the Chief of Staff to the Akarigbo and the DPO of Sakura Police Station.
