Akarigbo Welcomes Rotary International Delegates Ahead of Upcoming Conference
His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, LLB, LLM, FCA, FBR, Torungbuwa II, Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, expressed his heartfelt pleasure as he received the delegates of Rotary International, District 112, during a courtesy visit to his palace Yesterday 21st May 2025. The visit took place ahead of the district’s highly anticipated conference scheduled to hold soon in the region.
The delegation was led by Rotarian Alberto Cecchinni from Italy, alongside past and present Rotary governors of District 112. The purpose of the visit was to foster stronger ties and to seek the Oba’s blessings for the success of their forthcoming conference, which aims to promote community development, health, education, and peace initiatives across the district.
Oba Ajayi, a committed advocate for community service, commended Rotary International for its consistent efforts in transforming lives through humanitarian projects. He encouraged the Rotarians to continue their good works, emphasizing that their dedication and service to humanity will be rewarded by divine blessings. The monarch assured them of his support and urged them to keep working tirelessly for the betterment of society.
In his remarks, the Akarigbo also highlighted the importance of collaboration between traditional rulers and international organizations in fostering sustainable development.
