Akorede Students Organize Special Maolud Nabiyy Celebration in Isara-Remo
The Akorede Students Community hosted a vibrant and spiritually enriching Maolud Nabiyy celebration on Sunday in Isara-Remo, Ogun State. The event drew Islamic scholars, community leaders, elders, and guests to honor the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The ceremony was elegantly managed by M.M. Islamic Entertainment Incorporated, with the Master of Ceremonies leading the proceedings with dignity and reverence. The gathering began with the arrival of respected Imams and Alfas to the high table, setting a solemn tone for the occasion.
An opening prayer was led by Baba Agba Lagbaji, followed by a reflection from the MC on past Maolud celebrations, expressing gratitude to Allah for the blessing of life and the opportunity to celebrate once more. Attendees were encouraged to engage in thanksgiving and spiritual contemplation.
A heartfelt Qur’an recitation was performed by Hajia Zainab Semilore, captivating the audience. Special acknowledgments were given to prominent Imams and Alfas present, including the wives of Imam Kajola, elders, and other distinguished guests.
The keynote lecture was delivered by Sheik Dr. Tajudeen Akolawole Asaye, Chief Imam of Makun and Wazeerul Muslimin Ogun State. His speech focused on the life, teachings, and exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), emphasizing themes of unity, morality, and peaceful coexistence within the Muslim community and beyond.
A notable highlight was the traditional “Owo Odun,” during which gifts and monetary offerings were presented to Imams, Alfas, elders, and their wives as a sign of respect and appreciation.
Adding a humanitarian dimension, the Asiwaju Veemac Foundation, led by Alh. Sodiq, a former student, distributed foodstuffs to Imams, elders, and guests, extending charity and goodwill.
The celebration concluded with a communal meal, group photographs, and lively interactions among attendees, making the event a memorable and inspiring occasion.
