Alasepe Iwelepe Development Celebrates Launch of Transformer and Community Ark
On September 27, 2025, the lively community of Iwelepe gathered at the Alasepe CDA Hall to celebrate an important achievement, the official launch of a new electrical transformer and a community ark. This event is a big step forward for the community, symbolizing progress, unity, and hope for a better future.
The event was hosted by Nurudeen Olamilekan, the young and dedicated Chairman of the Alasepe Community Development Association (CDA). As a proud son and leader of Iwelepe, Nurudeen led the event with enthusiasm and community pride. The ceremony started with a sincere prayer from the high chief of Iwelepe, Makun Sagamu, also known as Solomade I. His prayer focused on love, blessings, and unity for the community’s growth.
After the prayer, everyone sang the community anthem passionately, showing their patriotism and hope. Then, the community’s leadership team, including the Vice-Chairman and other key members, was introduced to the crowd, demonstrating transparent and collaborative leadership.
Many special guests attended, including the Baale (traditional ruler) of Iwelepe, High Chief Adefemi Adetayo, the Ogun State Chairman of the Community Development Council, Olaolu Samuel Babatunde, and former CDA Chairman Oyedele Theophilus. Their presence showed the importance of the occasion and the unity among community leaders.
In his speech, High Chief Adefemi Adetayo thanked God for this achievement. He praised Nurudeen Olamilekan and the CDA team for their hard work. He explained that the new transformer will greatly benefit Iwelepe by providing reliable electricity. He also shared plans for future development, such as building a secondary school to boost education in the community.
Nurudeen Olamilekan expressed gratitude to community elders for their support. He shared the community’s vision for 2035, which includes introducing security assessment cards and ensuring constant power supply. He assured everyone that efforts are ongoing to improve daily life, especially the electricity supply.
The transformer was officially blessed and inaugurated by the Baale and the Ogun State Chairman. They prayed for its success and the community’s prosperity. Their blessings symbolized spiritual support for the project and the community’s future growth.
A special guest also gave advice, urging everyone to stay united and work together. He encouraged the chairman to continue listening to the community’s voices and to keep up the good work.
The event ended with a prayer from Adeoye Olamilekan, a respected community member, who wished for ongoing blessings and progress. The successful launch of the transformer and community ark marks a new chapter for Iwelepe, promising better living conditions, improved security, and a community working together to develop and grow.
