Ali Naci Küçük Explains Why Ademola Lookman Won’t Join Galatasaray.

Galatasaray’s pursuit of Ademola Lookman appears unlikely to materialize in the upcoming January transfer window, according to Turkish sports journalist Ali Naci Küçük. The club has been linked with a move for the Atalanta winger, who is also a Nigerian international like Victor Osimhen, a current Galatasaray player.

Küçük explained on SkySport’s YouTube channel that the main obstacle to signing Lookman is the high transfer and salary demands involved. Atalanta reportedly values Lookman at €60 million, a figure that is considered steep for Galatasaray’s current transfer budget. Additionally, the Nigerian winger is asking for a €9 million annual salary, which is a significant financial commitment.

The journalist pointed out that Galatasaray previously paid similar high wages for Victor Osimhen, but securing Lookman at this price point seems unlikely. Given Atalanta’s valuation and Lookman’s salary demands, the Turkish giants are unlikely to proceed with the transfer.

The development suggests that while Galatasaray may have an interest in strengthening their squad with Lookman’s services, financial constraints and market valuations are major hurdles. The club’s management will need to reassess their options if they are to sign the Nigerian winger in the future.

In summary, the combination of Atalanta’s high asking price and Lookman’s salary expectations makes a move to Galatasaray improbable in the upcoming transfer window, despite the player’s international pedigree and previous links with the Turkish club.
