APC Affirms Tinubu’s Bold Reforms Amid PDP Criticism
By: Emmanuel Ibitoye
The All Progressives Congress (APC) asserts that President Bola Tinubu is actively implementing impactful and far-reaching reforms crucial for the nation’s economic recovery, sustainable growth, and prosperity.
Mr. Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, made this statement in Abuja on Sunday, responding to advice from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors urging Tinubu to step down in light of challenges faced by Nigerians.
Morka emphasized that effective governance requires collaboration among all levels of government, and governors, as members of key councils, should provide constructive ideas and solutions. While acknowledging the right to free speech, he cautioned against reckless utterances that could incite social upheaval. Morka criticized PDP governors for comparing Nigeria to Venezuela, describing them as “doomsday vocalists” deflecting responsibility for their states’ challenges.
He viewed the PDP governors’ call for Tinubu to resign as self-indictment, suggesting that they should practice what they preach by resigning from their offices. Morka pointed out that despite challenges, Tinubu is taking responsibility and providing leadership in a season of economic transformation.
The APC spokesman urged patience during these challenging times, assuring that the administration is committed to mitigating difficulties as policies yield desired results. Morka concluded by emphasizing Nigerians’ right to live in peace with access to basic amenities, expressing confidence in the country’s journey toward a more prosperous future.
