Asiwaju Ayorinde Babatunde Resigns as Director-General of Sagamu Local Government Election Campaign Team for PDP

In a surprise move, Asiwaju Ayorinde Babatunde, fondly known as Fabregas, has stepped down as the Director-General of the Sagamu Local Government Election Campaign Team for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Fabregas expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve, stating, “It has been an honor to serve in this capacity and to work alongside such a dedicated team.” He also highlighted the team’s accomplishments, saying, “I am proud of what we have accomplished together and the strides we have made in advancing our party’s mission and values.”

However, after careful consideration, Fabregas decided it was time to pursue other opportunities. “I have decided that it is time for me to step down,” he said. Despite his resignation, Fabregas reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP, stating, “I look forward to witnessing the continued success of the PDP and remain a staunch supporter of our shared goals.”

The PDP has yet to announce a replacement for Fabregas. The party’s leadership is expected to make an announcement in the coming days.

In his resignation letter, Fabregas concluded, “Thank you once again for the opportunity and support.”
