Batoro Community Mourns the Passing of His Royal Highness Oba Suleiman

The Batoro Community in Sagamu is mourning the loss of His Royal Highness Oba Suleiman, Omo Oba Lowa Ibu Ogunsola, who has been declared dead. The late monarch was a significant figure in the Batoro community, one of the thirteen federated towns that constitute the Sagamu township in Ogun State.

 

Batoro is recognized as part of the over thirty-three traditional towns in the Remo region and has a rich history that spans over a century. It is accessible via two main entrances for residents and visitors alike. Travelers can enter Batoro through Akarigbo Street, which leads directly from the Akarigbo Palace, a notable landmark in the vicinity.

 

From Akarigbo Street, guests can navigate through Itun Nla, Itun Maro, and Itun Losi before taking a left turn onto Batoro Street, which leads into the heart of the township. This area has long been central to the cultural and traditional practices of the Batoro community.

 

Details regarding the circumstances of His Royal Highness’s death have not yet been disclosed, and further announcements regarding memorial services and the succession of the royal title are expected in the coming days. The community is currently in a period of reflection and mourning for their beloved leader.
