The 88th birthday celebration of Alhaja Taibat Oluwagbeminiyi Sodamola was a remarkable event, made even more special by her inauguration as the Aare Adini of Giwa Mosque, Ijagba, Sagamu. The event commenced with an opening prayer by one of the mosque’s Alfas, followed by a warm welcome to all Imams and Alfas in attendance. Special prayers were offered for the late husband of the celebrant, her children, family members, and the mosque as a whole, led by the Imam. The prayers concluded with a collection offered to seal the blessings.
A Quran recitation by the Alfas followed, accompanied by a thanksgiving session for Alhaja Taibat’s life and the wellbeing of her children. The Imam then delivered a heartfelt message, emphasizing faith, good deeds, and walking in God’s path.
