Champions League: Referee Appointed for Real Madrid vs Arsenal Second Leg
UEFA has announced that François Letexier will officiate the Champions League quarter-final second leg between Real Madrid and Arsenal on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The current titleholders, Madrid, are facing a challenging task as they aim to recover from a 3-0 loss in the first leg last week.
Letexier, who previously refereed the Euro 2020 final between Spain and England in Germany, will oversee this high-pressure matchup.
This marks his fifth time officiating a match involving Real Madrid. Earlier this season, he was the referee for their group stage encounter where they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool. In the previous season, Letexier also handled the first leg of the quarter-finals at the Bernabéu against Manchester City, which ended in a 3-3 draw, as well as the group stage match against Napoli, in which Real Madrid emerged victorious with a 4-2 win.
