Chinese National Found Stabbed to Death in Ogun Office

 

 

A 33-year-old Chinese expatriate, Chen Wang, has been found dead in his office at Fujiada Electronics Technology Company Ltd, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Wang, who was the manager of the company, was allegedly stabbed to death on Sunday around noon. The incident was reported to the Ogere police division, and an investigation is currently underway.

According to the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, the incident occurred while the company’s employees were on their regular break. It is alleged that a man named Jonah and his unidentified girlfriend broke into Wang’s office, stabbed him, and then fled the scene. The police have launched a manhunt for the suspects, who are still at large.

Odutola stated that the company’s manager, Akosile Akinsanmi, reported the incident to the police, providing details of the events surrounding Wang’s death. The police investigation revealed that the suspects entered Wang’s office during the workers’ break and carried out the attack. The employees of the company were unaware of the incident until they returned from their break and found Wang’s body.

The police have conducted a scene investigation, taking photographs of the deceased and collecting evidence. The corpse has been deposited at the Babcock University Teaching Hospital for a postmortem examination. The police are working to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of expatriates working in Nigeria. The police have assured the public that they are doing everything possible to ensure the perpetrators are caught and prosecuted. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
