Commercial Banks Re-Opening in Sagamu: RemoGDF Meets With Sterling Bank Managements
The main purpose of commercial banks is to provide financial services to the general public and also provide loan facilities to the business owners which helps in ensuring economic stability and growth of the economy in a peaceful and secured environment.
But, the above can only be maximumly achieved in an environment where, there is peaceful co-existence and security of lives and properties of the corporate organizations by the security agencies, Indigenes and non-Indigenes of a community.
On Thursday, 23rd March, 2023, the management council of Remo Growth and Development Foundation, (RemoGDF) met with the management team of Sterling Bank Plc at their corporate headquarters, Marina, Lagos.
The delegation of RemoGDF was led by the foundation’s Chairman, Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin with other members of the delegation were:
Mr Sammy Ogunjimi, Jide Ogunkoya, Esq., Mr. Wale Fayemi, Engr. (Chief) Oye Oduguwa and Princess Adenike Adedoyin-Ajayi.
The RemoGDF’s team were warmly received by the Managing Director, Sterling Bank Plc, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman.
The royal message of the Grand Patron of RemoGDF, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, (Torungbuwa II), Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland was delivered to the Managing Director, Sterling Bank Plc. Mr. Abubakar Suleiman by the foundation’s Chairman, Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin.
The royal message contained description of typical characteristics and behaviors of Remo Indigenes of good conduct, law abiding citizens, hospitable, kind and industrious at all times. The royal message also described the Remo Youths as set of professionals, well trained, educated and product of cultured that are shining and promising Nigeria’s future leaders.
On behalf of His Royal Majesty, Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland and all the Remo Royal Highnessess, the foundation’s Chairman, Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin promised all the commercial banks in Sagamu and Remoland a security assurances to the lives and prosperities.
In his remarks, on behalf of the management team of Sterling Bank Plc., the Managing Director, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman appreciated the visit made by delegation of RemoGDF. Mr. promised to convey the message to the management board for a sustainable decision to be made on the request of the RemoGDF.
But, in the interim, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman requested from the delegation of RemoGDF, a space to put a temporary/ mobile structure to serve the community immediately.
