Community Health First: Prince Femi Akinwunmi Sponsors Free Medical Outreach for His 50th Birthday

The Remo community witnessed an impactful act of service and compassion as a three-day free medical outreach was launched in celebration of the 50th birthday of Prince Femi Akinwunmi — a respected pharmacist, politician, and humanitarian.

The outreach, held from November 17th to 19th, was powered by Prince Akinwunmi and supported by the Remo Medical Outreach team, bringing essential healthcare services directly to the people.

The event was scheduled daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm, giving residents ample time to benefit from the free screenings, consultations, and medications. The initiative was designed to reach as many individuals as possible, with a vision to promote preventive healthcare and provide access to critical medical services for underserved members of the community.

The opening session was anchored by Human Rights Activist, Prince Adedamola Adeleke Adedoye, who warmly welcomed everyone present. In her remarks, she encouraged community members to fully participate in the program, emphasizing the importance of early detection and regular check-ups. She also introduced a newly launched Women Empowerment Program, supported by the government, aimed at uplifting and supporting women across different spheres of life.

Following the welcome address, a representative of the medical team briefed the beneficiaries on the procedures and services available. The program then began with an opening prayer offered by one of the beneficiaries, who also extended heartfelt blessings to Prince Akinwunmi for his generosity and community spirit.

Throughout the outreach, residents had access to a range of essential medical services, including:

Tuberculosis (TB) screening

HIV Test

Blood pressure checks

Blood sugar monitoring

Doctor consultations

Free distribution of prescribed medications

The success of the event was strengthened by the support of reputable medical and pharmaceutical partners, including Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Emzor Pharmaceuticals, Misson Pharmaceuticals, and Reals Pharmaceuticals. Their contributions ensured beneficiaries not only received expert care but also took home necessary medications for treatment and follow-up.

The outreach stood as a testament to Prince Femi Akinwunmi’s commitment to public welfare and community development. Rather than marking his milestone birthday with festivities, he chose to celebrate by giving back — leaving behind a lasting legacy of compassion, care, and service to the people of Remo.
