Crystal Palace Sack Patrick Vieira After 12 Winless Games

Crystal Palace have sacked Patrick Vieira as their manager after only 20 months. The former France midfielder leaves Selhurst Park with the Eagles sitting 12th in the Premier League table, only three points above the relegation zone.
Patrick Vieira replaced Roy Hodgson as Crystal Palace manager in the summer of 2021 and guided them to 12th in the Premier League last season; Palace have failed to win their last 12 games in all competitions and have slipped to within three points of the relegation zone.
Vieira has left Palace after a run of 12 games without a victory in all competitions – with their last win coming against Bournemouth on New Year’s Eve 2022.
That run saw Palace exit the FA Cup in the third round to Premier League bottom side Southampton, while they have slipped to within three points of the relegation zone.
Vieira’s last match in charge of Palace was a 1-0 loss to rivals Brighton, the fourth successive game in which the south London club had failed to score.
