Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price Ahead of Holiday Season
Dangote Refinery has announced a significant reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol. The company’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, disclosed this in a statement released on the company’s official social media account. According to Chiejina, the new ex-depot price of petrol has been reduced to N899.50 per litre, down from N970.
This price reduction is designed to provide relief to consumers during the holiday season. “To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS,” Chiejina explained. He added that the company is committed to making petrol more accessible and affordable to consumers, especially during the festive period.
In addition to the price reduction, Dangote Refinery is also offering a unique promotion to consumers. For every litre of petrol purchased on a cash basis, consumers will have the opportunity to buy another litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.
This price reduction by Dangote Refinery comes on the heels of similar price reductions by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and other oil marketers. In recent days, these companies have reduced petrol prices at their retail outlets, providing relief to consumers.
