Dapo Abiodun, Commemorates Armed Forces Remembrance Day at Grand Ceremony

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, honours the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day at a solemn ceremony at the Arcade Ground, Governor’s Office, Okemosan, Abeokuta. Paying tribute to the sacrifices of the nation’s armed forces, Governor Abiodun led a dignified observance attended by military officials, veterans, and citizens alike.

The event, marked by a poignant wreath-laying ceremony, saw Governor Abiodun express profound gratitude for the bravery and dedication of the Nigerian Armed Forces in safeguarding the nation’s unity and security. Dressed in traditional white attire, the Governor emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring the fallen heroes who have given their lives in service to the country.

 

Notable dignitaries who were present includes military commanders, representatives from various sectors, and families of servicemen, Akarigbo of Remo land Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi and many others. The ceremony featured speeches acknowledging the sacrifices of the armed forces and the ongoing commitment to ensuring the welfare of veterans.
