Dapo Abiodun To Present 2024 Budget, Thursday

On Tuesday after receiving a letter from the governor indicating his intention to present the budget to the House for approval, it was concluded that the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun will present the 2024 budget to the State’s House of Assembly on Thursday.
The Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo, who read the Governor’s letter dated 27th November, 2023 at the plenary, noted that the event would take place at 10.00 am prompt.
The letter partly reads, “In accordance with the provisions of Section 121 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), I write to inform the Honorable House that I intend to present the Ogun State Year 2024 Budget proposal to the State House of Assembly on Thursday, 30th November, 2023 at 10:00 am.”
“In reference to relevant sections of the Ogun State Fiscal Responsibility Law, 2020 (as amended), we have revised the 2024-2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (i.e 2024-2026 MTEF) for the State. Consequently on the above, I therefore seek your consideration and approval of the attached revised 2024-2026 State Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), so that the process of planning and budgeting for the year 2024 and the outer years of 2025 and 2026 can continue in earnest,” the letter reads.
