DEACONESS OLAWUNMI HANNAT OMELAJA CELEBRATES GOLDEN JUBILEE

It was a Joyous occasion as friends, Family, colleagues and other well-wishers gathered to celebrate Deaconess Olawunmi Hannah Omelaja as she marked her 50th birthday anniversary. The event started with a Thanksgiving service held at the Redeem Christian Church of God, Increase Parish, Agura, sagamu.


While giving his exaltation, Pastor Babafemi Adenuga charged Christians to emulate her exemplary lifestyle. His sermon which was themed “Great is thy faithfulness” was a reminder for Christians to be appreciative of God’s goodness and mercy in their lives.

He referred to the celebrant as a” devout Christian who was the epitome of humility and Hard work, an ideal model for the younger generation of women to look up to”
the Mother of the celebrant, Mrs. Alhaja Rashidat Oyefeso, referred to the celebrant as a child of destiny, stating that her birth was a blessing to the entire family. she counted it a privilege to witness the 50th birthday celebration of her daughter.

Reception quickly followed at the Ademola Side Memorial hall, Akarigbo Road, Sabo, Sagamu. In attendance were staff of Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital, comprising the OOUTH Nurses and OSUTH cooperative, Ijagba comprehensive High School(ICHS) old Teachers and students, Members of Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Neighbors, friends, family, and well-wishers.

The Chairman of the day, Sotunde Abimbola, in his welcome address eulogized the celebrant, noting that her dedication to work and readiness to learn was unequaled.

Speaking on behalf of the I.C.H.S Old Teachers, a Former principal of the School Akintoye muyiwa described the celebrant as” diligent, hardworking, resourceful and extremely neat”. He stated that it didn’t come to him as a shock that the celebrant today Is a Nurse, as right from her Secondary School days she had been concerned about the wellbeing of her schoolmates, this coupled with her neatness necessitated her becoming the Health prefect of her Secondary School.

Recounting the Journey so far, The celebrant, Deaconess Olawunmi Hannah Omelaja thanked God almighty, her parents, family, and all that have been there for her through thick and thin.

It was indeed a double celebration for the family as Adeoye Ifeoluwa, Niece of the celebrant also celebrated her fifteenth Birthday alongside
