DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIAL AGRO PROCESSING ZONE: AKARIGBO MEETS WITH MANAGEMENT OF INTEGRATED PLATFORM REMO LIMITED
His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, B.L, LL.M, FCA, FBR, DSC (Torungbuwa II), Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland on Tuesday, 14th February, 2023 met with the management team of Integrated Platform Remo Limited at his palace in Sagamu, Remo, Ogun State.
The leader of the delegation, Mr. Chukwuka Albright who also doubles as the Project Manager at the Integrated Platform Remo Limited disclosed that they came to officially brief the Akarigbo of Remoland on the first stage of the Special Agro Processing Zone.
Albright while noting that they would be conducting environmental impact assessment (EIA) in Remoland, noted that an all-inclusive community engagement and stakeholders’ meeting/workshop would hold between the representatives of Industrial Platform Remo Limited (a joint venture between Arise Corporation and the Ogun State Government) on the Ogun Agro-Cargo International Airport situated along the Iperu-llishan Road, Ilishan Remo.
Chukwuka who disclosed that the State has been planned and organized to meet with the community’s stakeholders before the commencement of the environmental impact assessment, added that the all-inclusive community engagement and stakeholders’ meeting/workshop would be coming up on Tuesday, 28th February, 2023, at the Conference Hall, Ajadeh Events Centre, Iperu-Sagamu Road, Iperu Remo, Ogun State, by 10am prompt.
According to the team lead of Arise Integrated platform,those expected at the program include the representatives of: the Remo Traditional Council, the Baales, RemoGDF Management Council, The Community Development Association, The Market Men and Women Associations, The Remo Youth Associations, The Farmer’s Associations, The Agriculturists and other related professionals associations, etc.
In his short remarks, Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin, Chairman, RemoGDF while appreciating the management of the Integrated Platform Remo Limited for their wisdom, promised that the foundation will continue to support throughout the project implementation.
In his address, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, (Torungbuwa II), Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland who prayed both for an hitch-free election and a project planning and implementation for a desired result.
RemoGDF’s representatives in attendance were: Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin, Chairman, RemoGDF, Aare Wemmy Osude, Member, Environment Directorate, RemoGDF, Omo’ba Abiola Ogundeko, Head, Media and Publicity, RemoGDF, Prince Adekunle Soile, Ag.GM, RemoGDF, Asiwaju Taiwo Olusanya and Alhaji S. B. O. Omosanya both are members of Agriculture Development Directorate, RemoGDF.
While the representatives of Integrated Platform Remo Limited in attendance includes: Mr. Chukwuka Oshiokpu, Project Manager, Mr. Albright Olaitan, EIA Consultant, Mr. Dave Detchenou, ESG Manager and Mrs. G. B. Ojikutu, Rep. of Hon. Commissioner for Agriculture, Ogun State.
