Drainages in Sagamu Becomes Refuse Dump to Residents

Residents and people in some major areas in Sagamu no longer dispose of refuse appropriately as they now dump it in the drainages. This is now a major concern, as people seem not to pay attention to this detail, forgetting the harm and havoc it could cause.

Drainages can get blocked if trash dumping is not controlled, it can be a threat to the people in the case of flood in these areas.

A concerned resident while speaking to Remo TV said, “Refuse dump should be positioned in different places, to enable people to trash out. Most people don’t know that what they are doing can cause malaria, typhoid and even attract other sicknesses”

“I think the government should even sensitize and lecture people, so they know the right thing to do because when the rain starts, we all are going to suffer for this misdemeanor” she added.
