In a gesture that underscores unity and collective progress within the Remo community, the esteemed group of illustrious women, Egbe Bobadara Obirin ti Ile Remo, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi CFR, Torungbuwu II, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland. The visit took place at the palace in Sagamu, fostering dialogue on developmental initiatives and the advancement of Remoland.
The Egbe Bobadara Obirin ti Ile Remo comprises distinguished women born between 1967 and 1970, whose contributions to the socio-economic and cultural fabric of Remoland have been profound. The group, known for its advocacy of community development, cultural preservation, and women’s empowerment, used the occasion to brief the monarch on their ongoing projects and future plans aimed at fostering progress within the region.
Leading the delegation, the group’s Iyalode Data Biodun Akinkule, expressed gratitude for the warm reception accorded to them by Kabiesi and emphasized the significance of collaboration between traditional rulers and community organizations. “We are honored to visit Your Majesty, and we see this as an opportunity to strengthen our partnership towards realizing the developmental aspirations of Remoland,” she stated.
The group outlined several initiatives they are championing, including educational programs for girls and young women, health outreach services, and initiatives aimed at empowering women economically. They also pledged to support cultural festivals and heritage preservation activities that promote the rich history of Remoland.
In response, Oba Dr. Babatunde Adewale Ajayi lauded the efforts of Egbe Bobadara Obirin ti Ile Remo, describing their visit as a testament to their commitment to the growth of the region.
