Egyptian Government NSPO Set to Invest in Ogun State Agricultural Sector

The executive governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun played host to a few members from the National service project organization owned by the Egyptian Government in a Bilateral meeting in Abeokuta, where they made known their interest to invest in the agricultural sector of Ogun state.

Prince Dapo Abiodun made this known in a post made in his Twitter account where he wrote “At the end of the economic development bilateral meeting that was held with the biggest conglomerate owned by the Egyptian Government – National Service Project Organization, we are glad the North African organization expressed its readiness to invest in the agricultural sector of our dear State”.

The leader of the team, General Walid Morsi, declared that the organization would focus on the cultivation of food and cash crops which would be exported to their home country and other parts of the world from the Gateway State.

While also speaking, Mr. Bashir Yusuf Ibrahim from EGTA Investment Limited, who is the representative of National Service Project Organization in Nigeria, noted the team was in Ogun for a viability assessment, especially in the agriculture sector where the company intends to focus on, pointing out that their visit had provided them an opportunity to see one of the economic zones located at the prestigious Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport whilst observing that the state has economic concepts that could not be found elsewhere.

“As an investor-friendly administration, we appreciate the team for choosing our state for their project. Not only are we the agricultural capital that produces cassava, fish, eggs, and the like, but we are also blessed with available and highly skilled manpower which is a result of the large number of educational institutions, and abundant natural resources where two-third of our land sits on limestone” the governor added.
